ProMow (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ProMow marketplace platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. Providers additionally supply a home or service area address and upload a profile photo.
Property and service information
Customers provide property addresses, lot size, and any special service notes. This information is shared with the provider assigned to a job.
Payment information
We do not store your full payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We receive and store only limited payment metadata (transaction IDs, last four digits, and payment status) necessary to support your transaction history. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Job photos
Providers upload before and after photos as part of the job completion process. These photos are stored in our cloud storage and are accessible to the customer who booked the job, the provider, and ProMow administrators.
Usage and device information
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this information to diagnose errors, prevent fraud, and improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To connect customers with lawn care providers and facilitate job completion
- To process payments and pay provider earnings via Stripe Connect
- To send transactional notifications about job status (email and push)
- To resolve disputes and enforce our Terms of Service
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
- To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymized analytics
3. Stripe's Role as Payment Processor
ProMow uses Stripe, Inc. as its payment processor and Connect platform provider. When you add a payment method or when a provider connects their bank account, you interact directly with Stripe's secure infrastructure. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified service provider. ProMow never receives your full card number or bank account credentials.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), Mapbox (mapping), and Sentry (error monitoring). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
- Between customers and providers:When a job is matched, the customer's property address and the provider's name and profile are shared with the other party.
- For legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of ProMow or others.
5. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Job records (including photos, payment history, and reviews) are retained for at least three years for legal and dispute resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at the address below; some records may be retained as required by law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@promow.org.
7. Cookies
ProMow uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain authentication sessions and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may break authentication.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the platform or by email. Your continued use of ProMow after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
